My love of the written word began as a child. One of my favorite school days was when the Scholastic Books catalog was passed out. The first mystery I remember reading involved a family on vacation at a cabin when the youngest child got appendicitis. After the parents left the older two siblings alone at the cabin, the mystery began. And that’s all I remembers; well, it was a long time ago. But that’s the root of my passion for mysteries. They’re like mental puzzles to be put together.
